Where to
start.
New officials should focus on rulebook fundamentals and positioning basics during their first season. Level 2–3 officials benefit most from rulebook studies and game-management sessions. Level 4+ officials often mentor newer officials.
Every official, regardless of level, must complete their USA Hockey registration requirements annualy.
