Develop as a hockey official
The Northeast Wisconsin Hockey Officials Association recruits, trains, evaluates, and supports on-ice officials across the region, from first-year youth officials to USA Hockey Level 4 veterans.
More than stripes
and a whistle.
Hockey officiating keeps you in the game, builds leadership skills, earns real money, and connects you with a tight-knit community across Northeast Wisconsin.
Earn While You Skate
Competitive game fees paid on a reliable schedule. Officials earn $30–$110+ per game depending on level and role, with multiple assignments each week.
Clear Path Forward
Advance through USA Hockey's certification levels — from Level 1 youth games to Level 4 travel and high school varsity — on your own timeline.
Built-In Community
Every new official is paired with an experienced mentor. Monthly rules study, clinics, and shared ice time across 20+ partner rinks.
Stay in the Game
Former players make excellent officials. Your understanding of the game translates directly into confident, respected on-ice decisions.
Flexible Schedule
Set your own availability. Work evenings, weekends, or tournament days — as many or as few games as fit your life.
